Unique Enhancements to Our Program!
Curator Visits: Jennifer, Heritage’s Curator, brings items from the Heritage permanent collection monthly for students to learn about, ask questions and make connections.
Horticulturist Visits: Brian and Emma, Heritage Horticulturists, connect students to the many plants and trees on the grounds of Heritage, or bring students to the Heritage Greenhouse to learn about seed propagation and rhododendron hybridization on a monthly basis.
Museum Education Visits: Danny, Heritage Educator, brings his background in art and his experience in Hidden Hollow during his art projects. Allie, Heritage Educator, brings her experience in Heritage programs and education to her projects.
Special Guest Lunch: Each month, students invite a family member (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, etc.) to join them for lunch at the school. Allowing students time to have a conversation with their special guest and talk about their school has become a very special event! We always end the lunch with a carousel ride for both students and guests!
Bike Day: During the mild months of the year, we have a monthly bike day. Students bring their bike and helmet to school. The parking lot loop is blocked off and lots of peddling ensues!
